Target asks Users to Engage on Pinterest

The number of businesses using Pinterest is rising, and Target makes the list of companies utilizing the social network recently. Many companies have created complex competitions on Pinterest, ranging from Pin to Win games to hide and seek games. Target has decided to step outside of the box and get the creative juices of their customers flowing.
Via a post on their Facebook page, Target asked users to be creative for the Halloween season with Target products. After taking of a photo of their creation and pinning it to their boards, users were asked to add the #TargetHalloween hashtag to the image. Target would then go through these pins and repin the most creative ones to their Halloween board on Pinterest. Though it is no prize, it is exposure for the user, who will likely see an influx of followers once their pin is displayed on a Forbes 100 brand’s Pinterest page.
