Well, the last day for the A&F adult and kids store at the Village of Rochester Hills was yesterday. I hate to see it happen, since the Village is like a second home to me. The four years I spent with the company was amazing, and I met so many great people. I’m very sorry to see it go, and sorry to see everyone misplaced with their jobs.
It’s sad to see what could be a great company going bad. I feel as though A&F is following in Gap’s footsteps by being so focused on international expansion. Things are bad for the company domestically, and rather than work to improve them, they’re spreading themselves to thin to see short-term heavy sales overseas.
Time will tell how the company fares, but I can almost guarantee you it will be something we’ve seen time and time again.
