Google Search, plus Your World

I found an article this morning about the new integration Google search has with its Google + product. Essentially, Google search is now tied content on its Google + product (you can read more about this by singing into your Google account and heading to Google’s main page. When you do this, you’ll see a link on the bottom about its new way of searching the web- this is called “Search, plus your World”).

What does this change mean? It means that content relevant to your Google + content will show up in your search results. For example, if you want to find info on vacations, when you search Google and are signed in to your Google account, you’ll see content from your connections on Google +, including photos.

While I think they’re on the right track, I still think their Google + product and social entrance is a diamond in the rough. I know on my end, I’ve been getting frustrated with Google search lately, finding that my search results aren’t as relevant as they used to be. I’m assuming this is from them tweaking their new way of searching. Hopefully this will be worked out in the future, because I do believe that one day search will be needed on social content.
